Here, they’ll encounter fantastic large-scale projections, intriguing tiny delights, and lively, infectious music. Every child’s curiosity is celebrated and rewarded with delightful surprises. The adventure unfolds as boxes reveal more boxes, giving each child a chance to discover a magical version of themselves. In Wonderbox, tiny moments of whole worlds in a matchbox lead to vast universes where everyone, reflected in the stars of the Milky Way, is shown to be wonderful. After more than 13 years of engaging and captivating thousands of young audiences with disability nationally and internationally through their magical, multi-sensory immersive shows, Perth-based Sensorium Theatre continues to break down barriers to truly inclusive arts experiences with their most ambitious show yet. Wonderbox is designed to be accessible to all children, inviting every child (and the child within us all) to look inside and find their rightful place.

SWELL Sculpture Festival
10 days of sculpture on the beach! SWELL Sculpture Festival is for everyone! Come and see for yourself! Over 60 large-scale sculptures along beautiful Currumbin Beach which is transformed into an outdoor sculpture park. Connecting people, art and place, SWELL transforms public spaces into family-friendly outdoor sculpture galleries! The annual SWELL Sculpture Festival is celebrating its 22nd year as a free and all-inclusive 10-day outdoor sculpture exhibition by the people for the people. A celebration of narratives and stories spoken through the artworks produced by local, national and international artists. You are invited to immerse at your own level and pace with the sculptures set amongst the natural landscape. Delve deeper into the unique artistic elements programmed each year by attending artist talks, twilight walks, sculptural workshops and masterclasses. SWELL connects with younger artists through the SWELL Kids Elements program. 2025 UniSport Nationals
UniSport Nationals will see over 6,000 plus student-athletes from across Australia head to the Gold Coast to compete in 33 different sports. Wearing the jersey of their universities with pride, student-athletes will contest long-standing rivalries on the playing field over seven days of what promises to be some of the fiercest sporting competitions seen this year. With events contested across men's, women's, mixed and open categories, student-athletes are given the opportunity to compete in their respective sports at a number of international standard sporting venues amongst the backdrop of Australia's iconic Gold Coast. A number of team and individual sports will be contested throughout the event. From basketball, netball and volleyball to kendo, fencing and judo, the event promises to provide something for every sports enthusiast to watch.

Do you want to learn night photography to capture the beautiful Milky Way? Join multi-award-winning photographer David Magro for a night under the stars! Beginners and enthusiasts are welcome. The Masterclass takes place in a classroom before spending the night photographing the stars. You will leave with beautiful photographs. Most cameras can photograph the Milky Way and galaxies. Borrow one of their cameras on the night. Masterclass details will be provided upon booking . The Masterclass venue is the Burleigh Leagues Club, and the amazing nearby dark sky photography location will be along Hinze Dam, directions will be provided on the night. You will learn how to: Photograph the Milky Way and night sky. Compose your photographs in the dark. Produce noise-free photographs. Easily photograph panoramas. Plan your future photographs.
