Kalbar Sunflower Festival
An opportunity for tourists to visit a sunflower farm based at Kalbar in the picturesque Scenic Rim Region, walk among a million sunflowers and totally immerse themselves in the beauty and happiness they provide. Excellent photography opportunities, a great event for the whole family. As well as the excitement of being up close and personal with acres of sunflowers there is free live entertainment by local musicians, free children's activities such as bubble blowing, art activations, animal petting, sensory garden and mini children's maze. Sunflower merchandise as well as food and beverages on sale. For the adults add on's such as sunflower art classes, mini family photography shoots, flower crowns and our four acre sunflower maze. Enjoy a long table lunch prepared by Chef Richard Ousby in the sunflowers and perhaps a sunflower cocktail by Brasshound Distillery. Their very popular Devonshire tea supports The Mater Foundation so enjoy a sunflower scone and cup of tea or coffee knowing you are helping raise funds for cancer care. The sunflower festival is full of happiness and joy bringing together the local community and visitors from around Queensland and beyond. You can bring your own secateurs or borrow theirs and you can pick your own sunflowers to take home for AUD2.00 a stem.

Snapper Rocks is home to some of the most famous victories in surfing history. Past winners include World Champions Kelly Slater, Stephanie Gilmore, Mick Fanning, Carissa Moore and Gabriel Medina amongst others.

Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival 2025 | Gold Coast
Presented by World Expeditions, the 2025 Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is a three-hour celebration of the mountain and adventure sports world. Sharing the most exhilarating short films from explorers, runners, mountain bikers, skiers, paddlers and climbers from around the globe. The tour is hot on the heels of the largest and most prestigious mountain festivals in the world, the Banff Mountain Festival, which takes place every November in the mountain town of Banff, in Canada. More than 300 of the world’s best mountain sports, culture, environment, adventure, and exploration films are shown during the week-long event. A selection of award winners and audience favourites then tours the globe, visiting 390 communities and 35 countries as part of the festival’s official world tour. Blues on Broadbeach
Set to transform the Gold Coast into a rhythm and blues mecca for four days, Blues on Broadbeach will be back in 2025! Featuring an electrifying non-ticketed lineup each year, Blues on Broadbeach 2024 welcomed over 65 international and homegrown artists for four jam-packed days of live entertainment. They've spent countless hours studying the intricate instrumental arrangements and harmonies that made Status Quo such a hit, and they're ready to deliver an unforgettable performance for fans old and new. At their upcoming show, you can expect to hear every track from 12 Gold Bars, including hits like "Rockin' All Over The World" "Whatever You Want” ”Down Down” and "Caroline." Fanning Dempsey National ParkBernard Fanning and Paul Dempsey have today announced they will be taking their much lauded musical collaboration, Fanning Dempsey National Park, on tour to regional Australia in April and May following their sell-out tour across Australia’s capital cities in 2024. Following a Byron Bay show for Great Southern Nights on April 3, ‘The Deluge Regional Tour’ will kick off in Cairns on May 1, with stops in Hobart, Ballarat, Geelong, Bendigo, Newcastle, Thirroul, Canberra, Toowoomba and the Sunshine Coast, before finishing on the Gold Coast on May 24.
