Comedy Underground | Luke Heggie
Comedy Underground | Luke HeggieLuke Heggie has been dabbling with new trends, such as monetising a contrived identity, and debating actual facts on the internet. But he also has to be able to sleep at night. If you consider “you love yourself” to be more of a compliment than a preamble to a fight, you use a passport as identification in your own country, you make your kids come and watch you play sport, you develop a lisp when you say a Spanish word, you've ever said that you have a great sense of humour, or you fill up with premium unleaded, then do not come to this show. The majority used to be a bit more silent, making them bearable. Internet users have described Luke Heggie as a flog, brilliant, a lefty wanker, a fascist, a comedian at the peak of his power, disgraceful, and the best in the land. Come and make your own mind up. Or not. Nobody really cares what you do. No lowbreeds please.

KEN DONE: NO RULES
‘There are no rules. And if there are rules, then you may as well break them.’ – Ken Done Ken Done’s paintings have captured public imagination for more than four decades. As one of Australia’s most recognisable artists, Done is beloved for his bold use of colour and vibrant imagery, resulting in paintings which are exuberant celebrations of the world around him. Done has forged a career unlike any other artist this country has seen, resisting traditional art-world expectations and embracing spontaneity and emotion over rigid technique. At a youthful eighty-five, Ken Done remains true to his personal philosophy – that an artist can and should create their own rules. Ken Done: No Rules features artworks from the 1980s to today which are largely drawn from Done’s personal collection. In his signature optimistic style, he captures the intimacy of his home and garden through to the majestic grandeur of Australia’s reefs, beaches and coastlines that have made Ken Done a household name. The exhibition features an exclusive animation showcasing a selection of Ken Done's iconic paintings, offering visitors a deeper immersion into his vibrant universe. Also included is a selection of outfits from Australian designer duo Anna Plunkett and Luke Sales of Romance Was Born from their 2023 collaborative collection Done Zone. This exhibition is curated in partnership with The Ken Done Gallery, Sydney.

Comedy Underground | Neel Kolhatkar
Black Belt ComedyNeel Kolhatkar loves two things — comedy and martial arts. What he admires most about martial arts is the belt system: a clear marker of skill earned through skill and experience. Neel believes comedy should be no different. With social media flooded by stand-ups of every stripe, there’s no way to gauge a comedian’s experience and skill level — so why not introduce comedy belts? From ‘white belts’ telling dad jokes to ‘black belts’ tackling dark, taboo topics with nuance and precision. Black Belt Comedy is Neel’s personal challenge — to earn the right to say the hardest things in the funniest way. Neel Kolhatkar is known for his sharp observational, cultural, and political comedy — always walking the fine line between edgy and highbrow. He describes his style much like himself: “dark and intelligent.” This year’s show dives into cultural quirks, relationships and modern social dynamics, all delivered with Neel’s signature impressions and accents. He’s also branching into fresh ground, with exciting new material and top-tier support acts rounding out the night. Don’t miss Neel Kolhatkar’s brand new show – Black Belt Comedy. Book now!
