Ronald McDonald House Charities 2025 Race Day
Giddy up and get ready to make a difference this One Sunny Race Day. Ronald McDonald House Charities South East Queensland are once again hosting a charity race day to raise much-needed funds for sick or injured kids and their families. Join them at the Gold Coast Turf Club events centre for a day of sensational sips, mouth-watering morsels, and of course, premium trackside views of the races. But that’s not all - you’ll be helping a fantastic cause too! All the proceeds from the event will go directly to support the families of sick and injured kids, providing them with essential resources and accommodation to be close to their loved ones when they need it most. Dress Code: Smart casual attire in pastel colours

Gold Coast Eisteddfod
South East Queensland is home of the Gold Coast Eisteddfod which is the largest youth competition of performing arts in Australia. It is not only a platform for launching the careers of international performers, but also a place where enduring memories are created, future careers are fostered and the stars of tomorrow are developed. Gold Coast Eisteddfod has sections in all genres of Music, Dance & Drama including Dance Solos, Young People with Disability, Strings, Wind & Brass, String Orchestras, Small Ensembles, Dance Groups, Choral, Bands, Stage Bands, School Dance Groups, Piano, Vocal & Speech & Drama. Held from July to September each year at various venues across the Gold Coast.

Wild Earth Border Bolt Running Festival
Bouncing out of the blocks on debut in 2022, the Border Bolt is back and takes you on back onto the bumpy but beautiful border trails in Currumbin Valley. With no less than 4 race distances to choose from; ranging from 6km & 13km, through to the 22km and 31km events form Round 2 in our Triple Crown Trail Series. A great stand-alone run or ideal prep for Coastal High; just 4 weeks later. The Border Bolt showcases the beautiful Gold Coast hinterland, yet starts and finishes by our world-famous beaches!

Burleigh Heads Milky Way Masterclass
Do you want to learn night photography to capture the beautiful Milky Way? Join multi-award-winning photographer David Magro for a night under the stars! Beginners and enthusiasts are welcome. The Masterclass takes place in a classroom before spending the night photographing the stars. You will leave with beautiful photographs. Most cameras can photograph the Milky Way and galaxies. Borrow one of their cameras on the night. Masterclass details will be provided upon booking . The Masterclass venue is the Burleigh Leagues Club, and the amazing nearby dark sky photography location will be along Hinze Dam, directions will be provided on the night. You will learn how to: Photograph the Milky Way and night sky. Compose your photographs in the dark. Produce noise-free photographs. Easily photograph panoramas. Plan your future photographs. Edit your photographs with the Milky Way Masterclass Suite included.
