The Mountain in the MAN
THE MOUNTAIN IN THE MANA 3-Day Recalibration for MenCurrumbin Valley, Gold CoastNext Journey: 30th-1st Jan 2026Step away. Switch off. Reconnect. The Mountain in the Man is a three-day immersion into nature, stillness, and truth. It’s a step back from the noise — and a return to what matters. This isn’t about transformation. It’s about maintenance.A moment to come home to yourself. We hike into the hills. We sit by the fire.We share stories. We eat simple food, breathe deeply, and rest.We drop into a traditional Temazcal ceremony to close out the weekend.Limited spots availableRequirementsSwag and a JournalAll food, water and Temazcal Included in the price :)Hosted ByJacob GschwandtnerFounder, King’s Council & Mountain in The ManMen’s Coach | Mentor | FacilitatorJacob Gschwandtner is a man of service, devoted to truth, aliveness, and the kind of resonant expression that moves through the body and speaks straight to the heart. With a background in acting and formal training in the Meisner technique, Jacob’s work bridges the world of performance and personal transformation. His lifelong quest has been to understand the characters we play—not only on stage, but in life—and how we can embody them with integrity, honesty, and love.He is the founder of Improv Alchemy, an experiential theatre container for men and women to explore the full spectrum of their expression, attunement, and humanity. Through this work, Jacob invites people into the present moment, where raw truth and spontaneous creation reveal what’s real beneath the surface.Jacob believes everything we do carries an undercurrent of love—that we’re all just walking each other home—and that the path of transformation begins by meeting ourselves exactly where we are.As a facilitator, mentor, and coach, Jacob leads King’s Council, a weekly men’s group based on the Gold Coast, and True North Immersion, a four-day retreat held in the Byron Bay hinterland. Both are sacred spaces where men return to slowness, connection, and self-honesty, exploring what it means to lead with presence, vulnerability, and heart.Jacob is also the voice behind The Soul Room podcast, a raw and real space where modern masculinity, leadership, relationships, and emotional truth are explored beyond the surface. With daily reflections and long-form conversations, the podcast invites listeners into a deeper relationship with themselves and the world around them.He has also served as a lead facilitator at The Gathering of Men, standing alongside other leaders in the industry as over 150 men gather on the land in a powerful rite of remembering, connection, and embodied leadership.Whether on the stage, in circle, or through the spoken word, Jacob’s work is an offering—to meet life fully, love fiercely, and express what’s most true.Dean Charles BentleyFounder, Men of the MountainMen’s Coach | Mentor | Facilitator | SpeakerDean Bentley is a mentor, speaker, and community builder who has dedicated his life to helping men reconnect with what it means to live fully – emotionally, spiritually, and purposefully. As the founder of Men of the Mountain, a leader, mentor, and host of The Wyrd Way podcast, Dean’s work centres on breaking cycles of isolation and burnout, and guiding men toward richer, more connected lives.Dean’s passion for this work is deeply personal. After graduating with honours in Mechanical Engineering and seemingly having everything lined up for professional success, he found himself feeling unfulfilled, anxious, and disconnected.Through therapy, men’s groups, and spiritual exploration, he began the process of healing – and found his calling in helping others do the same. Rather than hide his struggles, Dean shares them openly, believing that vulnerability is where real transformation begins.Today, Dean works with men from all walks of life – through one-on-one mentoring, immersive retreats, weekly circles, and group coaching. He has been a lead facilitator at The Gathering of Men, has guided sessions at Manhood Retreat with Men’s Wellbeing, and has supported countless others on their journey toward emotional resilience, self-leadership, and authentic masculinity. His approach blends depth and playfulness, structure and spirit. Whether guiding a men’s circle in the forests of Tamborine Mountain or speaking on stage to a national audience, Dean brings curiosity, integrity, and a grounded energy that creates space for genuine change.Temazcal Hosted ByJavi & LukeRoots of The Earth FamilyTemazcal Ceremony – A Journey of Prayer, Purification & TransformationStep into the sacred space of the Temazcal – a powerful ancestral ceremony of purification, renewal, and connection.Rooted in the ancient traditions of the Americas, the Temazcal is not just a sweat lodge; it is a rebirthing process – a place where we come together in prayer, in humility, and in deep respect for the elements that sustain life.Guided by the Roots of the Earth Family, a global organisation carrying these traditions across five continents, this ceremony is an opportunity to realign with your intentions, release what no longer serves you, and step forward with clarity and strength.Through the heat of the stones, the medicine of the songs, and the power of collective prayer, transformation happens — not just in the body, but in the heart and spirit. This is for those seeking real change. For those ready to show up with sincerity. For those called to remember the ways of their ancestors. The Gold Coast Temazcal is held in the lush rainforest of Currumbin Valley on private land. Our local community and team walk with deep respect for this sacred way of life. Many of us come from different teachings, origin points, and lineages of the sweat lodge — but when we enter this space, we share from the heart, unified as one family. All are welcome — grandparents and children included.Women from 5 months pregnant may also join; please reach out if you're unsure.Indigenous Australian Mob are invited free of charge — this is our gesture of respect as we gather on your land, with the intention to bring harmony, healing, and unity to the broader community. This Temazcal at The Mountain in the Man on Sunday will be held by Javi and Luke, Partners who carry the lineage of the Roots of the Earth Family.Their presence is humble, heart-led, and deeply rooted in honouring the sacred fire, the prayer of the stones, and the remembrance of earth wisdom.Come ready to sweat, to pray, to release, and to remember.

Bloom Sings Eva Cassidy (PM Concert)
Bloom Sings Eva Cassidy is an intimate and acoustic tribute that brings to life the timeless music of one of the most soul-stirring voices of our time. Audiences will be mesmerised as Bloom delivers heartfelt renditions of Eva’s most beloved songs, including “Songbird,” “Time After Time,” “Fields of Gold,” “Over the Rainbow,” and many more. With sold-out tours across Australia and New Zealand, Bloom has earned acclaim as “one of Australia’s finest vocalists,” captivating audiences with her rich, soulful voice and heartfelt performances. Eva Cassidy’s story is as moving as her music. Despite her extraordinary talent, she spent much of her life in obscurity, and tragically, Eva passed away from melanoma at just 33 years old, never witnessing the impact her music would later have. Two years after her death, her breathtaking covers of “Fields of Gold” and “Over the Rainbow” gained worldwide attention. Through this beautiful tribute, Bloom honours Eva Cassidy’s quiet brilliance and enduring legacy, sharing the heartfelt music of an artist who left us too soon but left behind a body of work that continues to inspire the world today. Brought to you by AAA Entertainment. This event is part of the Scenic Rim Cultural Programming. Tickets $39.00; Seniors and Groups 8+ $35.00 pp. Share platters (up to 2 people) are available at a cost of $28. An option to purchase will appear through the ticketing process.
